Driver License Requirements:
There are limitations on accepting driving licences. Driving licences should be in English, Latin or Cyrillic letters. International Driving licences are required when a driving license is not in English, Latin or Cyrillic letters. Any driver must produce a valid, original copy of their driving licence including photo ID and counterpart.
A full license held for minimum of 2 years with no major endorsements. UK license holders need to present a photo card
All customers without an EU driving licence must have an international driving permit to pick up cars.
In the event that a customer arrives at the rental desk without the necessary documentation as stated above, the booking will be cancelled. In these cases, there will be no refund.

In addition to the stated requirements, the hirer of the vehicle is solely responsible to ensure that their licence is valid for use in the respective country and it remains the responsibility of the hirer to determine whether an International Driving Permit is required by local law. Failure to provide a valid licence and IDP permit (as required) will result in a non-refundable termination of the reservation at the rental counter.

Driver Age & Restrictions:
The minimum age for a driver is 21 years of age
Maximum age is 99 years of age.
Young drivers aged 21 – 24 years of age will be liable for €6.00 surcharge per day.
Senior drivers aged 80 to 99 years of age will be liable for a €6.00 surcharge per day
Surcharges relate to insurance costs.

Methods of Payment
Credit card (MasterCard & Visa)
Debit card and cash are not accepted.
American Express is not accepted for payment or the deposit.
The deposit has to be held on the credit card of the main driver.
The credit card must be valid for at least 3 months after the last day of rental.
In the event that a customer fails to present a valid credit card or there is a lack of sufficient funds available on the credit card, the car rental agent may refuse the release of the vehicle. In these instances, no funds paid will be reimbursed.
In the event that the original booking was paid for utilising a third party credit or debit card,  hirers may be required to present details, permissions and authorisation relating to the transaction. Failure to provide the information requested may result in the hire being refused.

Vehicle Group/Model
Our vehicles are classified into groups using the ACRISS codes for clarity of booking.
Reservations are confirmed for a group and not a particular model unless shown otherwise. We are unable to guarantee a particular make/model or fuel type unless a guaranteed model group has been booked.
The vehicle shown on any documentation is for guidance only and may be substituted with an alternative, similar or upgraded vehicle at our discretion.

Vehicle Condition
Vehicles must be returned to the location/drop off point in the same condition as when it was picked up/delivered. It is the responsibility of the renter to ensure that the vehicle is thoroughly checked prior to taking custody of the vehicle.
Whilst in charge of the vehicle the client accepts responsibility for maintaining the roadworthiness of the vehicle and agrees to take remedial action to avoid unnecessary cost/damage. This will include maintaining oil levels, tire pressures and other common sense actions to maintain the vehicle if before authorized. Costs will generally be covered only if it’s authorized in advance from the rental branch.
Renter returns the vehicle in a clean condition (normal wear and tear excepted). If the vehicle is exceptionally dirty upon return or if there is damage to the seats, seat upholstery or the carpets an additional charge for deep cleaning will apply. This charge will be dependent upon the actual state of the vehicle when returned.
Any damage caused to the vehicle, if returned out of hours, is the responsibility of the hirer until our staffs have checked in the vehicle.

PAI, Theft and Fire Damage:
PAI is not included in the rate. Fire and Theft Insurance is included in the rate. In case of Fire or Theft client would be liable for the excess amount.

Maximum Coverage of Third Party Liability Insurance (SLI) for Material Damages and Bodily Injuries:
Coverage for person is 5000000 EUR, for material damages 1000000 EUR.

Vehicle Inspection:
It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that a vehicle inspection is carried out, both at the time of collection and drop off. The customer should ensure that all pre-existing damage on the vehicle is noted on the vehicle condition form, and that any damage that is not already included is noted down prior to signing the document.
On return, if the vehicle is returned in clean condition, the vehicle will be inspected again with a rental agent. Any change in the vehicle’s condition during the hire will be the sole responsibility of the customer. In the event that a vehicle is returned dirty, the inspection will be carried out after the vehicle has been cleaned.
Any vehicles returned between 20:00 – 08:00 will not be inspected until later in the day (but within 24 hours), and the customer remains responsible for the condition of the vehicle until the vehicle is inspected. Any new damage will be noted and the customer will be informed of such within 24 hours.

 

Vehicle breakdowns, accidents and replacement car:

If the vehicle breaks down or is involved in traffic accident in the territory of Baltic States (Lithuania, Latvia or Estonia), the Lessor provides the Lessee with a replacement car within 24hours from the moment Lessor has been informed or from the moment when the reason of breakdown is known if it was not at the beginning of accident. The charges may apply depending on the reason of the breakdown. If the vehicle breaks down or the vehicle is involved in the accident outside the area of Baltic countries (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia), the Lessee must take care of all the necessary vehicle repairs and transportation to Lessor’s work shop in rented location at his own expenses.

Voucher:
A copy of your voucher must be produced upon arrival at the rental desk. Failure to present the voucher means the car rental agent may charge you at the local rates. Please note: We are not responsible for overcharges on rentals where the voucher was not presented to the local agent on collection of the vehicle. If you do not present the required documents, the documentation is not valid or you do not have enough funds on your credit card, the car rental agent may refuse to release the vehicle and no funds will be reimbursed

Smoking Policy:
Sit&GO operate a no smoking policy for all vehicles.  If you have smoked or allowed smoking within the vehicle charges will apply.  This includes allowing cigarette (or cigar) smoke or ash into the vehicle, which would imply the above.  Charges are detailed in the damage matrix available at the rental counter. A valeting fee will be surcharged to rectify any soiling due to cigarette (or cigar) smoke / ash in the minimum amount of €150.

Animals in our vehicles:
We request no animals are transported in our vehicle unless contained. A valeting fee may be applied to rectify any soiling due to animal transportation. Charges are detailed in the damage matrix available at the rental counter

Opening Hours:
Please view the Sit&Go local opening hours. Some local holiday variations may apply. Please check with your local office. Locations may be closed for pickups and returns on Christmas Day, Boxing and New Year’s Day. Locations may be closed on other public holidays (bank holidays). Please check at time of booking.

Out of hour’s collection and drop off:
Out of hours service is available from €25 (Payable locally). The drop off during out of hours fee is possible only with purchase of Super Collision Damage Waiver.

Delayed Collections/ No show policy:
Reservations will be held for 2 hours from the specified reservation time after which they will be classed as a no-show.  If a customer arrives after this time then a vehicle is not assured.  We will do everything possible to provide a vehicle. This may include offering a different vehicle and rates may be different to the original booking.

Flight numbers provided are for informational purposes only. It is the responsibility of the customer to inform the location of any delays.

Rental Extensions:
Please note that it may not always be possible for the hiring branch to extend the hire. Where the branch agrees to extend the hire, the rental will be charged at the prevailing rate which may be higher or lower than the original booking rate.

Non-authorized rental extension:
Penalty above the rental charge and the driver will be black listed (declined for future bookings) Charges are detailed in the damage matrix available at the rental counter.

Early Returns/Unused Rental Days:
No refunds (partial or full) will be given for rentals ended early, late collections, no shows or cancellations made after the rental start date.

Late Returns:
A vehicle is hired for a contracted period as detailed on the rental agreement. The return day and time as selected by the customer at the time of booking will be enforced regardless of delayed pickup time. If the vehicle is returned outside the grace period, there will be a charge of an additional day or a late fee.
Grace period: 1 Hour.

Amendments:
Reservation amendments must be requested in writing at least 24 hours prior to the start of your rental. Please note that telephone amendments will not be accepted. An amendment request is not assured and amendments will be treated as a new booking.
Fuel Policy:

Fuel policy is “like for like”. Return the hire vehicle with the same level of fuel as on collection.

The renter is responsible for returning the vehicle with the same amount of fuel that was provided at the time of pickup. Vehicles returned with fuel lower than the level listed on their rental agreement will be charged a fee. The rate charged for missing fuel is stated on your rental agreement. Hirers are recommended to return the car with the same fuel to avoid charges.

 

Mileage Policy:

The mileage limitation – 150km/per day

If the mileage limit is exceeded, €0.15 per km will apply
In the event the multi products are not offered the standard product will offer unlimited mileage within in Lithuania.

 

Lost Keys:

Sit&Go will charge if keys are lost or damaged. Please note that if a vehicle is stolen and keys are not returned to the rental location, the hirer will be deemed negligent. Lost keys are deemed as negligence and are not covered under the insurance excess limitation or risk reduction packages. Drivers will be liable for all costs relating to recovery, loss of use and repair. This list is not exhaustive.

 

Fines, Penalties and Administration Charges:
It is the responsibility of each hirer to cover the cost of any parking fines and traffic violations. When fines or traffic violations occur and a Sit&Go location is involved in administering the charge then an administration fee will be charged to the customer.

Cross border travel is allowed but is strictly on a request service and available for the countries listed below only – surcharges apply
Lithuania/Latvia/Estonia– €36,30/per country

All other locations are forbidden.
A penalty of €500 will apply in the event of unauthorised border crossing. Please note that not all countries have physical border control between countries. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that they do not cross the border into another country and to remain on the lookout for border boundaries when travelling near other country borders.

Ferry:
Cars are permitted on ferries. Fee applies. Check with the location.

All optional extras can be subject to price changes without notice; additionally optional extras are subject to availability.

Complaints
​All complaints should be made in writing via email to info@sitandgo.eu within 30 days from the last day of your rental. Whilst we do try to resolve all cases brought to our attention, those raised after this period may not be considered. If at any point during the investigation process communication ceases for a period of more than 30 days, the case will be considered closed and no further action will be taken.

GDPR
All information relating to privacy and data protection when using a Sit&Go service will be contained on our privacy policy which is located on our website – www.sitandgo.eu/privacy

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of your reservation should be made in writing at least 24 hours prior to the start of your rental, or cancelled through your account on the Sit&Go website. Please note that telephone cancellations will not be accepted.
Cancellation Administration Charge
The notice period is based on a day being a 24 hour period, up to the start time, not a calendar day.

Cancellation notification sent 7 or more days before the start date: the prepaid amount will be refunded minus a €15 admin fee.
Cancellation notification sent 3-6 days before the start date: 50% of the prepaid amount will be refunded.
Cancellation notification sent 2 days before the start date: 25% of the prepaid amount will be refunded.
Cancellation notification sent 0-1 days before the start date: no refund due.

All prepaid reservations will be subject to a minimum cancellation fee of €15.
For any bookings where the prepaid amount is less than €15, there will be no refund due regardless of when the cancellation request was made.
For pay on arrival reservations made online, the no-show/cancellation fee will equal the pre-paid amount and no refund will be due.
