Vehicle class / model:

Our vehicles are classified into groups according to the international ACRISS code standard.

When ordering a car, the renter selects and approves the car class, but not the specific car model. SIT & GO cannot guarantee a particular manufacturer, model or type of fuel unless a guaranteed model group is ordered this is clearly stated on the renter’s booking voucher.

The vehicle depicted in any document is for reference only and SIT & GO will, at its sole discretion, assign the same, ordered alternative class or higher class car.

Vehicle condition:

The vehicle must be returned to the agreed location in the same condition as at the time of pick-up. The renter must ensure that the vehicle is thoroughly inspected before using the vehicle.

From the moment the vehicle is picked up, the lessee becomes responsible for maintaining its technical condition and agrees to take appropriate action to avoid unnecessary costs or damage. This includes oil level maintenance, tire pressure maintenance and other standard operations. Expenses are usually only reimbursed if the rental company has given their prior permission.

The renter must return the vehicle clean (except for normal wear and tear). If the returned vehicle is dirty or if the seats, seat upholstery or carpets are damaged / dirty, an additional charge will be made for external and / or deep, dry cleaning. This fee will depend on the actual condition of the returned vehicle, but is not less than 25EUR.

Any damage to the vehicle if it is returned outside office hours is the responsibility of the renter until SIT & GO staff inspects the vehicle.

Personal accident insurance in case of theft, irreparable damage and fire:

Personal accident insurance is not included in the car rental fee. In case of fire, irreparable damage (confirmed write-off of the car) or theft, the customer’s liability is equal to 10% of the value of the car.

Maximum amount of civil liability insurance for material damage and personal injuries:

Compensation is EUR 5000000 for personal damage and EUR 1000000 for pecuniary damage.

Also, KASKO insurance does not cover the costs for recharging the battery, loss of keys, tow truck, taxi services after the accident, deposit for replacement of the vehicle and compensation for lost rental days during the repair of the rented vehicle. Below is a table with franchise sizes by car class:

Vehicle inspection:

It is the tenant’s responsibility to ensure that the vehicle is inspected both at the time of picking up and returning the vehicle. The renter should make sure that any damage to the vehicle is noted in the description of the condition of the vehicle and that any damage not yet covered is marked before signing the inspection report and starting the rental.

During the return of the car, the vehicle is inspected for new damage not specified in the contract. If the vehicle is returned dirty, the inspection will be performed after washing the vehicle.

All vehicles returned between 20:00 and 08:00 will be inspected only the next day during office hours (08: 00-20: 00), but no later than 24 hours from the time of return of the car specified in the tenant’s rental agreement. Charges may apply depending on the cause of the failure. If the vehicle breaks down or an accident occurs outside the territory of the Baltic States (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia), the lessee must take all necessary steps to eliminate the failure of the vehicle as far as possible, as well as transportation to the lessor’s car delivery point and related costs.

SIT & GO has a no-smoking policy in all vehicles. Failure to comply with the non-smoking policy will result in fines. Reservation Confirmation (Vouchers):

A voucher confirmation will be required upon arrival at the rental point. Without confirmation, the car rental agent may charge the renter according to local rates. Please note: SIT & GO is not responsible for excessive rents when the voucher was not delivered to the local agent when the vehicle was picked up. The flight numbers provided by the tenant are for information only. The tenant must report any reason for the delay.

Lease extension:

A car rental point may not always extend the rental period. If the rental company agrees to extend the lease, the rent will be charged at the current rates on the day, which may be higher or lower than the original booking price.

Illegal lease extension:

If the renter does not agree with the lessor on the extension of the lease in advance and does not receive confirmation from the lessor about the successful extension of the car rental, a penalty in excess of the rent will be applied and the lessee will be blacklisted. Charges are described in detail in the damage fee summary, which can be found at the rental point.

Early return / unused rental days:

If you decide to return the rented vehicle earlier than stipulated in the rental agreement, the funds for unused days are non-refundable. There is also no refund for delays in picking up the car, the renter did not arrive on the day and / or time specified in the booking, or the service was canceled at the start of the booking.

Late return:

The vehicle is leased for the contract period specified in the lease agreement. The return date and time selected by the customer at the time of ordering will be recorded as scheduled. Fuel policy:

Fuel policy is “as much as it is now”. The renter is responsible for returning the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as stated at the beginning of the lease. Returning the car with less fuel will result in a refueling charge and the amount of fuel missing. It is recommended to return the car with the same fuel to avoid taxes. It is also recommended to make sure that the amount of fuel specified in the rental agreement corresponds to the actual amount of fuel displayed on the dashboard before starting the trip.

In case of loss of car keys, it is necessary to inform the rental point immediately. SIT & GO reserves the right to charge a fee if the keys are lost or damaged. If the vehicle is stolen and the keys are not returned to the rental location, the renter will be held fully responsible for the theft of the car. Lost keys are considered an act of negligence and no liability reduction service or insurance packages apply to this consequence. The tenant is responsible for all costs related to the production of new keys, replacement of the lock, repair.
